Sherecka’s desire to become a mental health counselor began when she was a young child. Having experienced much grief, loss, and impactful changes she knew something needed to be done differently. It wasn’t until she was overwhelmed in her undergraduate program she was able to seek therapy for herself. She found her experience so transformative that she went on a mission to pay it forward.

Born on the island of Jamaica and adopted at the age of 9, she then moved to Miami where she spent her teen years until moving to central Florida to attend the University of Central Florida. Her upbringing has provided her with a wealth of cultural understanding and competence. Additionally, her favorite hobbies include traveling and continuously learning different cultural norms.
